Fruit Pulps
Some of the best fruit growing conditions can be found in the country of Colombia, South America between 1,300 and 8,400 feet above sea level (400 and 2600 meters). This variance in altitude gives a variety of temperature and precipitation conditions, which provide an ideal environment for the growth of many varieties of delicious tropical fruits.
The fruit is naturally matured and carefully selected post-harvest providing the best fruit with which to make pulps. The pulp is extracted in an industrial process that includes meticulous washing, peeling, and separating the seeds from the pulp. The resulting 100% natural juice pulp is then sterilized and packaged in hermetically sealed pouches.
These “long-life” fruit pulps require no refrigeration until opened and have a sealed shelf life of 18 months. Retail customers typically use fruit pulp at home in the preparation of delicious natural juice beverages. Businesses use pulps in the preparation of juices for retail sales, ice-cream, and other applications. By converting fresh fruit into pulp the unfortunate seasonal loss of huge quantities of fresh fruit through spoilage is avoided while getting the health benefits and simple enjoyment of juices that taste as if they were made from recently harvested fresh fruit. It’s hard to tell the difference.
Note: Up to 12 varieties of fruit pulps are offered.
